Varroa destructor is the biggest threat to beekeepers and their bee families. The infected colonies would die if no action was taken to control the growth of the mite population.

When to use SetOil KEM9

To reduce the population of mites in late summer and autumn, it is best to treat them in late July. But then, in most parts of the country, commodity honey is still being harvested and treatment is delayed until later. It is during this period (around July 20th) that SetOil KEM9 is applied. The amount of essential oils per hive is minimal (only 12 drops total from the three applications), and their effectiveness is over 80%. Treatment practically does not change the quality of the honey, while significantly reducing the mite population by the time the honey harvest is over and synthetic acaricide may be used.

SetOil КЕМ9 reduces the population of V. destructor mite in the bee families by more than 80%. SetOil КЕМ9 has antibacterial, antimycotic action, stimulates the development and hygienic behavior of the bee family and can be used as an aid in the control of nosematosis and chalkbrood. SetOil КЕМ9 promotes the adoption of bee mothers. Also, it can be used in swarm traps.

Method of administration:

Add 4 drops of SetOil КЕМ9 on a wooden veneer strip and place it on the upper surface of the honey corps frames above the brood. One stripe per beehive 3 times through 7 days. The treatment is carried out in spring, autumn and during the active season. It doesn't matter if there is a brood in the bee family.

Important!

Bee families show good tolerance to SetOil KEM9. No negative effects are observed in the mother, bees or brood. No bees are existing on the entrance of the beehives, thefts of bee families and bee attacks are not observed. The aroma of essential oils in the apiary is not detected around the treated hives during the stay of the strips. It does not leave any residue in the honey after treatment. SetOil КЕМ9 is not a medicinal product.

Storage:

SetOil КЕМ9 should be stored in a dry and cool place, without direct sunlight, in a tightly closed container and away from heat sources. Keep out of the reach of children.
